Terms of Service
Effective July 6, 2026
These terms are written to be read. They cover the Broadcloth iPhone app and the getbroadcloth.com website, both operated by Antimatter LLC (“Broadcloth,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
1. The service
Broadcloth is a personal styling service. It builds a profile of your coloring, build, and preferences from information you provide, catalogs the clothing you photograph, and produces styling output: outfit combinations, scores, explanations, shopping suggestions, and feedback on photos you submit.
Much of this output is generated by artificial-intelligence models working from your profile and wardrobe. It is advice about clothing, offered for your consideration — it may be imperfect or simply wrong for your situation, and it is not professional, medical, or psychological advice. Use your own judgment, especially before spending money.
2. Your account
You sign in with your email address using one-time codes. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account.
3. Subscriptions and credits
Some features are included with a subscription; certain on-demand features (such as shopping suggestions and photo evaluations) consume credits that come with it. All billing is handled by Apple through your App Store account — we never see your payment details. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store settings; Apple's refund policies apply to purchases made there.
We may adjust pricing, credit allowances, or feature availability. If a change materially reduces what your active subscription includes, we will tell you before it takes effect.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put into Broadcloth — photos, measurements, preferences, and the rest. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate the service for you, which includes sending it to the service providers that run our infrastructure and AI processing, acting on our instructions.
Two commitments, repeated from our Privacy Policy because they matter:
We will never share, sell, or publish your photos. We will never email you about anything other than Broadcloth.
Please only upload photos you have the right to upload. Broadcloth is for photographing your own clothing and yourself — not other people without their permission.
5. Acceptable use
Use Broadcloth lawfully and personally. Don't attempt to break, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the service; don't scrape it; don't resell it; don't use it to build a competing dataset. We may rate-limit or suspend accounts that abuse the service or degrade it for others.
6. Our property
The app, the website, the Broadcloth name and button mark, and the styling guides and other material we created are ours or our licensors'. Your use of the service doesn't transfer any of that to you beyond the right to use the app as intended.
7. Disclaimers and limits on liability
Broadcloth is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any recommendation will suit you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Antimatter LLC's total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of $50 or the amounts you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
8. Ending things
You can stop using Broadcloth at any time and delete your account in the app's settings; deletion removes your photos and personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (4, 6, 7, 9) survive it.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, reach out through our contact form — most issues can be sorted out directly.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect; continuing to use Broadcloth after that means you accept the updated terms. The current version always lives at this page.
